چکیده

2014 Temperature dependence of electrical conductivity has been studied for hot pressed AlN ceramic having different volume percentage of porosity (0.2 to 15 %) in the temperature range (500 K to 950 K). It has been observed that electrical conductivity decreases by two orders of magnitude as the volume percentage of porosity increases from 0.2 to 15 %. The effect of moisture on electrical conductivity has also been studied on the same samples of AlN. Samples having small porosity (upto 4 volume %) did not show any appreciable effect of moisture on electrical conductivity. However, at higher concentration of porosity (15 volume %), the conductivity increases by three orders of magnitude after exposing to the moisture. Tome 21 ? 9 SEPTEMBRE 1986 Revue Phys. Thermal and electrical conductivity of Aluminium Nitride nanofluids

This study was designed to experimentally measure the thermal and electrical conductivities of Aluminium Nitride/Ethylene Glycol (AlN/EG) nanofluids. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to characterize the shape of AlN nanoparticles. Nanofluids with different particle volume concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% were utilized. The thermal and electrical conductivities of the...

Novel Magnesium Elektron21-AlN Nanocomposites Produced by Ultrasound-Assisted Casting; Microstructure, Thermal and Electrical Conductivity

In the current work, a novel magnesium alloy Elektron21 reinforced by ceramic AlN nanoparticles were produced by an ultrasound-assisted casting. The fabricated nanocomposites were investigated to evaluate their microstructure, hardness, physical, thermal and electrical conductivity. The microstructural evolutions show that a uniform dispersion of the ceramic particles within the matrix can be a...

In Situ Formation of SiC/CNT Ceramic Nanocomposite by Phenolic Pyrolysis

In this research, using pyrolysis of phenolic resin in the presence of silicon particles, the SiC ceramic composite is formed. The samples were prepared by introducing 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 wt% of Si particles to the phenolic resin. The samples were cured at 180°C then carbonized at 1100°C. The final carbonized C/Si composites are hot-pressed at 1500°C in inert atmosphere, which is more than th...
